DICE Shares The Relevance of Speaking with Influence & Powerfully

The truth about speaking is that words mean a lot. There are various phrases in our language that indicate the length words can go to impact an individual. In our industry, we take words very seriously. Any action, any goal and dream you have in mind and state it. This is your chance to prove yourself by acting on it. “Communication is the strongest asset a business professional will carry. We appreciate those that know how to speak clearly, with transparency and mannerism,” says CEO of DICE. It is also important to us that when you are speaking to speak with influence and power. You may wonder what that means? But in order to do well and be a leader if one should want to, the main thing anyone looks at is your ability to set the tone, give a speech and be someone that motivates others.

Think about it in this scenario: an interview. When you are scheduled for an interview, how would go about speaking? Would you be timid, and not confident? Even if you are timid by nature, the only way to get something going is by understanding your words. People often say they have a hard time finding a job and that their interview didn’t go so well. This has a lot of do with speaking ability. When you speak in a manner that is influential and powerful, it puts you in the spot to earn something cause of your articulation. “Bring in the charm, proper communication and confidence — this will your best friends at an interview,” says the CEO of DICE.

Another important aspect to speaking is remembering to say what you mean, and mean what you say. Many times words are thrown around like they are nothing. Be strong in what you want to convey and once you have that down, you have the influential/powerful speaking aspect completely. “The important thing to remember is that whatever you say has an effect on it. People comprehend what you’re saying by the way you say it. So if you confidently tell us that you’re strong and passionate, as well as back it up with experience? We know that you’re a potential fit for any role you chose to apply for,” says CEO of DICE.

Research shows that mind interprets what it hears very literally. The words we say literally have an impact to create images in another person’s mind.

DICE Discuss The Importance of Always Learning & Progressing

At DICE, we believe that change and growth comes from taking chances and being open to learning new skills. “A student mentality is fundamental in the business world. It helps us grasp onto different possibilities and ideas that are important to understand,” says the CEO of DICE. Most times individuals will believe that they have learned everything and they do not need to bother their mind further. This type of thinking is wrong, and these individuals are mistaken if they think that there is nothing else left to learn. Studies indicate that individuals that are constantly learning new skill sets are more likely to be put under the auspicious leadership category.

Our world is constantly changing, and it is our job to make sure we are uncovering answers and finding information to understand. “When someone stops learning, they stop growing. When they stop growing, they are not alive anymore. They are not someone who can understand that the world is such an endless sea of possibilities and ideas. It is just a matter of learning these ideas and making sure that our minds are staying active,” says the CEO of DICE. Just as individuals need exercise to stay healthy, our minds need to be challenged with new information and strategies to stay active.

DICE is also a firm believer that learning new tools and skill sets means individuals are opening the door for more opportunities for themselves. Opportunities that may not be available because of lack of experience are now wide open because someone has taken the initiative to make sure they are learning new skills. For example, say that a specific job requires coding skills and an individual does not have that qualification. Rather than giving up, this person will try to take a crash course, or take on voluntary work experience in a relevant field to learn how it’s done. This shows initiative, strive, hustle and strength. We admire a student mentality at DICE and know that it is our future for growth.
